Our Bratton line has been traced back to Andrew Bratton who was born in Antrim County, Ireland in 1686.  The Bratton coat of arms has been researched and a copy of it can be seen here.  The crest was recorded in Burke's General Armory with a description of "AR. A FESSE ENGR. GU. BETW. THREE MULLETS SA."  When translated, the Blazon also describes the original colors of the Bratton Arms as, "SILVER; A RED ENGRAILED HORIZONTAL BAND BETWEEN THREE BLACK STARS."

Throughout this line, there are many famous and honorable individuals.  The family also has quite a few stories, as does any family.  These stories of our family have been included below.

To obtain a copy of the Bratton pedigree chart in Adobe PDF format, click here.  Since the chart has so many branches, it can be difficult to follow the lines.  The PDF contains links which will help you guide through the many pages of the chart.  You will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view the file.  It is a free utility and can be downloaded from here.
